What to do once you’ve been offered a position…

Documentation, Training & Certificates.

Once you have been offered a position with us, you will need to complete some documentation before your first day.

You will also need to undergo some training and send through some certificates for your training.

You may have already done some of the required training, particularly if you have recently worked at another childcare centre in Queensland.

If you have already completed any of the below courses, and those qualifications are less then 12 months old, then you do not need to do them again.

If you haven’t already completed these courses or your training is more then 12 months old, you will needed to complete them again.

Please ensure you send through all your certificates for any qualifications relating to childcare.

All documents, training and certificates need to be completed and returned to us before you can start employment.

  • Employment Agreement

    You would have been sent an Employment Agreement to consider. Please read over this carefully and send back a signed copy. Please let us know if you have any questions!

  • Employee Details Form

    Please complete all sections on the Employee Details Form including uploading Identification Documents, Blue Card and National Police Clearance Certificate. If you are unsure where to obtain a Blue Card or National Police Clearance Certificate, visit the links below.

  • Tax File Declaration Form

    You need to complete and return a Tax File Declaration Form. A copy can be found at the link below.

    If you do not have a Tax File Number, you will need to apply for one through the Australian Tax Office here: https://www.ato.gov.au/individuals/tax-file-number/apply-for-a-tfn/

  • Superannuation Choice Form

    You need to complete this form so we know where to pay your super.

  • Employee Medical Details & Emergency Contacts Form

    Please complete the Employee Medical Details and Emergency Contacts form so we know more about any important medical conditions you have, dietary requirements and emergency contacts.

  • Certificate III / Diploma of Early Childhood Education

    Please provide us with a copy of your Certificate III or Diploma of Early Childhood Education

  • National Police Check

    You must obtain an Australian (National) Police Clearance Certificate. Certificates issued by the Australian Federal Police are sent via email as a secure PDF file.

  • Blue Card Application

    To work either as a volunteer or in paid employment with children, you must have a valid Qld Blue Card. To apply for a Blue Card or to convert your Volunteer Blue Card to a Paid Blue Card, click on the link below to complete and lodge your application.

  • First Aid & CPR Training

    You need to have current First Aid & CPR Training. Please send through your current qualifications or update them through a registered training provider of your choice. We use Parasol who you can contact to book in a time and day for your training but you can use any training provider you choose.

    Your First Aid Training is valid for 3 years and your CPR Training is valid for 1 year.

  • Anaphylaxis Training

    ACECQA assessed and reapproved the ASCIA e-training course which meets the requirements for ACECQA nationally approved anaphylaxis management training under the National Quality Framework (NQF). You need to complete this course and obtain a certificate before working at the service.

  • Child Protection (Mandatory Reporting)

    This workshop covers essential knowledge for educators in relation to child protection and mandatory reporting.

  • Do Food Safely Food Handling Training

    DoFoodSafely is designed to enable you to understand how to safely work with, and handle, food in commercial settings, this includes in Child Care Services.

  • Diabetes Training

    This online education is for early childcare educators and support staff who are responsible for caring for a child diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.

  • Disability Awareness Training

    Introduction to Disability Awareness focuses on promoting an awareness of disability and the impact that societal attitudes and inherent stigma and discrimination have on the lives of people with disability.

  • In Safe Hands Safe Sleep Training

    Safe Sleep is so important in the early years. Complete the Foundations of Safe Sleep for Educators Training and send us a copy of your certificate.

  • Sun Safety Training

    It is important that educators understand the importance of Sun Safety in Australia. Please complete and send through a copy of your Sun Smart Sun Safety Introductory Course.

  • Commitment to Protecting Children

    Carefully read the NAPCAN Commitment in the link below and sign th statement to demonstrate your commitment to play your part to keep children safe. Once you have signed it, scan the document and send it to us by email.

  • Indigenous Leadership Training

    Indigenous Leadership Training

    Your Mob Learning provides an introductory training via a webinar on indigenous leadership. Visit the link below to sign up and complete.

  • Foundations of Child Safety Certificate

    You must carefully complete the Foundations of Child Safety Certificate on Geccko. If you do not already have an account, you will need to set up an account to complete this course.
